Mission Avishkar is a project of " AVISHKAR BALVIDNYAN KENDRA" a NGO established in 2002 for propagation of science and Technology and spirituality.
Following are the Major activities in curriculum of Mission Avishkar.
1) AVISHKAR:- A mobile science Laboratory-
Every working day our team visits to various schools, colleges, training institutes to show some important and magic science experiments based on Physics, chemistry, Biology, Astronomy and Indian Space Programme. We have conducted such programmes in more than 500 schools at rural and urban areas of Kolhapur, Sangali, Satara, Auranagbad, Ahmednagar districts of Maharshtra and at many schools of Goa state.
2) Sunday Science School:-
During National Holidays and on Every Sunday many students from various schools and colleges joins us to perform interesting science experiments in this programme in two groups. i. e. std. 4 th -7 th and std 8 th -12 th . for more information about this please click on Cources.
3) AVISHKAR:-Diwali/Summer Camp- WORKSHOPS::---
Our organization has a set up of the Science Museum and training center in the Kolhapur city from past three years. During Diwali and summer vacation many interested students can join us to do science practical themselves. Personality Development, Astronomy, Space Science, Basic Physics and Electronics are the basic subjects of workshop/camp.
4) AVISHKAR:-Science Rally: --
In memory of Dr. Kalpana Chawala and other astronauts those expired in Columbia crash, our organization conducts science rally on 1 st Feb of Every year. The posters about space science received from NASA, ESA, and ISRO, models of Satellite, GSLV Rocket, and Space suit of Astronaut are the main attractions of the rally. We have conducted many rallies from feb.2004 to 1 st feb.2009 in Aurangabad and Kolhapur city.
5) AVISHKAR: -Science innovation Center: --
On every Saturday and Sunday school children learns about various science experiments. They are motivated to prove new and creative ideas.
Avishkar -1) Measurement of the Rotational Speed of the Earth:--
We have constructed a simple scientific instrument which can measure the rotational speed of the Earth and the revolution speed of the Moon. The apparatus is verified by Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC-Trombay, Mumbai).Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam President of India specially met "Avishkar Team" for this achievement.
Avishkar -2) Detection of the Water source inside the land:--
Using this apparatus the water source inside the land can be detected more accurately. The construction and trials of this apparatus are in progress.
6) AVISHKAR:- Science Exhibitions- For Schools and Collages.
7) AVISHKAR:- Ready projects & experiment Material
8) AVISHKAR:- Science Shows/Seminars- CDs received from NASA, ESA and ISRO
09) AVISHKAR:- Sky watch Group
